~1min read

Operating Condition

  • This system is activated when the vehicle is driven in reverse with the ignition switch in the ON position. However, if the vehicle speed exceeds 5 km/h, the system may not detect objects.
  • If the vehicle speed exceeds 10 km/h, the system will not warn you even when objects are detected.
  • When more than two objects are detected at the same time, the nearest objects will be recognized first.

Types of Warning Sound and Indicator

NOTICE

  • The indicator may differ from the illustration depending on objects or sensor conditions. If the indicator flashes, we recommend having your vehicle checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
  • If the warning buzzer does not sound or sounds intermittently when shifting into R (Reverse), this may indicate a malfunction of the Parking Distance Warning (Reverse) system. If this occurs, we recommend having your vehicle checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer as soon as possible.
