Power Outlet

~1min read

The power outlet is designed to supply power to mobile phones or other devices designed to operate on the vehicle's electrical system.

Devices must consume less than 180 W (Watts) with the engine running.

WARNING

Avoid electric shock. Do not place fingers or foreign objects (pins, etc.) into the outlet or touch the outlet with wet hands.

NOTICE

To prevent damage to the power outlets:

  • Use the power outlet only while the engine is running, and unplug the plug after use. Using the accessory plug for a long time with the engine off may discharge the battery.
  • Use only 12 V electrical accessories rated less than 180 W (Watts) in electrical power.
  • Set the air conditioner or heater to the lowest operating level when using the power outlet.
  • Keep the cover closed when the outlet is not in use.
  • Some electronic devices may cause electronic interference when connected to the vehicle's power outlet. These devices may cause excessive static noise in audio, malfunctions in other electronic systems, or devices used in your vehicle.
  • Insert the plug fully. If good contact is not established, the plug may overheat and blow the fuse.
  • Connect electrical/electronic devices equipped with a battery with reverse current protection. Current from the battery may flow into the electrical/electronic system and cause a system malfunction.
