Power Window Lock Switch

~1min read

The driver can disable the window switches on the rear passenger doors by pressing the power window lock switch.

When the power window lock switch is pressed:

  • The driver's master switch panel can operate all power windows.
  • The front passenger control switch can operate the front passenger window.
  • The rear passenger control switches cannot operate the rear passenger windows.

WARNING

Do not allow children to play with the power windows. Keep the power window lock switch on the driver's door in the LOCK position. Children may accidentally open a window, resulting in serious injury or death.

NOTICE

  • To avoid possible damage to the power window system, do not open or close two or more windows at the same time. This also helps ensure the longevity of the fuse.
  • Never try to operate the driver's master switch and a separate window switch in opposite directions at the same time. If this is done, the window will stop and cannot be opened or closed.

WARNING

  • NEVER leave the key in the vehicle with children unattended while the engine is running.
  • NEVER leave children unattended in the vehicle. Even very young children may unintentionally cause the vehicle to move, become entangled in the windows, or otherwise injure themselves or others.
  • Always check twice that all hands, fingers, head and other obstructions are clear before closing the window.
  • Do not allow children to operate the power windows. Keep the driver's power window lock switch in the LOCK (depressed) position. Serious injury may result from a child inadvertently operating a window.
  • Do not put your head, arms or body outside the windows while driving.
