Diagnosis Using GDS

  1. BCW system malfunctions can be quickly diagnosed using GDS. GDS quickly performs control drive, input/output value, and self-diagnosis.
  2. Connect the GDS cable to the data link connector on the driver side lower panel and turn on the GDS.
  3. Select the vehicle model, then the BCW system.
  4. Select "Input/Output Control" to check the BCW system current data.
  5. To forcibly check the operation of each module, select "Activation Test".
  6. Ignition OFF, connect GDS.
  7. Ignition ON, engine OFF, select the BCW system and "BCW Radar Calibration" mode.
  8. GDS will display the BCW reset function steps.
    1. Erase the BCW diagnostic trouble codes.
    2. BCW initialization.
  9. The BCW initialization procedure will be performed.
