Repair Procedures

Replacement

  • When removing with a flat-blade screwdriver or puller, wrap the tool with protective tape to prevent damage to the components.
  • Wear gloves to avoid cutting your hands.

  • Be careful not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
  1. Remove the front door side weatherstrip.
  2. Remove the front door sill trim. (Refer to Interior Trim - "Door Scuff Trim")
  3. Remove the hood latch release handle. (Refer to Hood - "Hood Latch Handle")
  4. Using a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, remove the hood side trim (A).

  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

    • Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
