Integrated Body Control Module (IBU) The integrated body control module has several functions, including the Body Control Module (IBU), Smart Key Unit (SMK), and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
  1. Intelligent Body Unit (IBU) Functions
Security Alarm Trunk Security Alarm Triggers the alarm depending on the bus operation.
Panic Alarm Generates a warning sound and flashes the lamps (horn and hazard lights) depending on the panic signal.
Security Lamp Control Controls the security lamp when the vehicle is in the alarm state.
Exterior Lamps Rear Lamp Automatically turns the tail lamps on/off. It also turns off the tail lamps automatically when the driver has forgotten to turn off the lamp switch.
Auto Light Automatically turns the tail lamps and headlamps on/off depending on whether it is day or night when the headlamp switch is in AUTO.
Welcome Light The welcome light function turns on the headlamps and tail lamps for 15 seconds when the vehicle door unlock signal is detected while the vehicle is locked.
Follow-Me-Home Function Turns on the follow-me-home lamps when the power is turned off while the headlamps are on.
    • Turns on the headlamps and maintains the state for 20 minutes if the ignition is off and the headlamps are on.
    • The headlamps remain on for only 30 seconds when the driver's seat door is opened and closed within a 20-minute period.
    • The headlamps turn off when the lock button on the remote control is pressed twice while the headlamps are on.
Headlamp (Low/High Beam) Controls the high/low beam depending on the headlamp switch (multifunction switch).
Daytime Running Light Control Controls the daytime running lamps depending on the conditions at the time the vehicle is started.
Interior Lamp Foot Lamp Turns the foot lamp on/off depending on the power conditions and whether the shift lever is in the P position.
Engine Start/Stop Button (SSB) Lamp Turns the SSB lamp on/off depending on the vehicle power conditions, door open/closed status and warning mode.
Map lamp Turns the interior lamp on/off depending on the vehicle power status and door open/closed status.
Ambient Lamp Turns the mood lamp on/off depending on user settings.
Front/Rear Parking Assist PAS Display Receives the signal from the parking assist sensor via the LIN line and displays it on the instrument cluster.
PAS Warning Detects obstacles at the front and rear with the parking assist sensors (PAS sensors) when reverse (R) or drive (D) is selected and warns if an obstacle is present.
Warning Unfastened Seat Belt Reminder and Indicator Lamp Issues a warning if the seat belt is not fastened and prevents the vehicle from moving with the seat belt unfastened.
Key Reminder Warning Issues a warning if the driver's seat door is open while the adaptive cruise control is on.
Parking brake warning Generates an audible warning if the vehicle speed exceeds 5 km/h with the ignition on and the parking brake applied.
Sunroof Open Warning Issues a warning if the key is removed and the driver leaves the vehicle with the sunroof open.
Wiper and Washer Wiper (Low / High / Intermittent / Auto) The IBU receives the wiper switch signal over the B-CAN and sends data to the wiper motor (built-in) via LIN communication.
Front Washer The IBU sends the washer switch signal to the front washer motor.
  2. Smart Key Module (SMK) Functions
SMK Door Lock and Unlock Locks/unlocks the door based on the door unlock signal and the signal from the buttons on the outside door handles of the driver's/passenger's seat.
SMK Welcome Light Controls the outside rearview mirror and puddle lamp after smart key authentication when the driver with the smart key approaches the vehicle.
Smart Trunk Opens the trunk if the driver with a valid smart key stays behind the rear bumper (within the LF antenna range) for 3 seconds or more.
SMK Warning Key Reminder 1 When the driver attempts to lock the door, it checks whether the smart key is inside the vehicle and unlocks the door if it is.
Key Reminder 2 Checks the door lock status for 0.5 seconds after the vehicle door is opened and closed, and unlocks the door and generates a warning sound using the external buzzer if the door is locked.
Door Lock Warning 1 Generates a warning sound using the external buzzer if the driver attempts to leave the vehicle with ACC or IGN on.
Door Lock Warning 2 Generates a warning sound using the external buzzer if the driver attempts to lock the door and leave the vehicle when one or more doors are open.
Door Lock Warning 3 Searches for the smart key inside the vehicle when the driver attempts to lock the door, issues a warning, and does not lock the door if the smart key is inside.
Key Out Warning If the vehicle travels at 3 km/h or less with ACC or IGN on and a door is open, it searches for the smart key every 3 seconds and flashes the indicator lamp if no smart key is detected.
SMK RKE (Remote Keyless Entry) Door Lock / Unlock Locks/unlocks the door based on the door unlock signal and the signal from the buttons on the outside door handles of the driver's/passenger's seat.
Panic Performs the panic and vehicle stop functions depending on the panic button signal.
Window Open Opens/closes the vehicle window based on the smart key signal.
Starting the Engine Start/Stop Button (SSB), Immobilizer, Starter Relay Power Control, SSB Lamp Control
  3. Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Functions. The tire pressure monitoring system constantly monitors the pressure and temperature inside the tire to warn the driver of tire pressure changes that may affect vehicle driving conditions. TPMS Control Module analyzes data from the WE (Wheel Electronic) sensor attached inside each wheel, determines the tire condition and generates the signal required to control the indicator lamp.
