Repair Procedures

Inspection

  1. Measure the resistance of the NTC and the heating pad.
    • NTC resistance - 10.0 kΩ ± 5 % (25°C)
    • Heating element resistance - 1.68 Ω ± 10%
  2. Measure the temperature.
    • Steering wheel surface temperature must rise from -20 °C to 20 °C within 6 minutes
    • Steering wheel surface temperature must be maintained within 38 °C ± 4 °C after 25 minutes
    • At this time, turn on all measuring points (1 - 8)
