You must reset the sunroof motor to its default settings in the following cases:
The sunroof motor has been temporarily discharged because the battery or fuse was replaced, or the battery was discharged.
The one-touch automatic opening or closing sunroof feature does not operate properly.

Release the sunroof control lever.
Press and hold the CLOSE button for more than 10 seconds until the sunroof moves slightly.

The panoramic roof reset procedure is complete.
The sunroof ECU determines the motor operating time.
The motor can operate continuously for the 1st operating time (120 ± 10 sec.).
The motor that operates continuously stops after the 1st operating time (120 ± 10 sec.).
The motor then stays off for the 1st cooling time (18 ± 2 sec.).
The motor operates for the 2nd operating time (10 ± 2 sec.) when continuous motor operation resumes after the 1st cooling time (18 ± 2 sec.).
The motor that operates continuously stops after the 2nd operating time (10 ± 2 sec.).
The motor does not operate for the 2nd cooling time (18 ± 2 sec.).
The motor repeats the 2nd operating time and 2nd cooling time while continuous operation continues.
If the motor is not operated continuously, the operating time limit for overheat protection is increased.
The motor operating time is reset to "0" if the battery or fuse is reconnected after being disconnected, discharged, or blown.
Overheat Protection
To protect the sunroof motor from overheating due to continuous operation, the sunroof ECU monitors the operating time and cooling time of the motor as follows:
