TCM Learning
  1. Learning Overview and Purpose
    1. The purpose is to ensure initial driving safety by adjusting the hydraulic pressure difference between the transmissions.
    2. To relearn the TCM, perform the relearn procedure by erasing the existing contents with the diagnostic tool when a shift shock occurs in gears 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8.
  2. TCM relearn is required in the following cases.
    1. Replacement of Automatic Transmission Assembly
    2. TCM Replacement
    3. TCM Update
  3. TCM Learning Procedure
    1. Condition: ATF temperature 35–95 °C
    2. Stop learning - Repeat the shift pattern shown below five or more times while depressing the brake pedal.

    3. Driving learning - Keep the throttle opening constant with the shift lever in D, and upshift from 1st to 5th gear at engine speed of 1500 to 2500 rpm, then decelerate slowly. At (ON, throttle opening: 0%), downshift from 8th to 1st gear. - Throttle opening during upshift: 15–35 % (appropriate value for upshift at engine speed of 1500–2500 rpm)
