Description and Operation

Description

Controls the 4 positions P (Park), R, N, D by motor rotation according to the electrical signal when the shift button is pressed.

Repair Procedures

Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Remove the battery and battery tray. (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "Battery")
  3. Remove the air duct and air cleaner assembly. (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner")
  4. Disconnect the electronic shift actuator connector (A).

  5. Remove the bolt (B) and remove the electronic shift actuator (C).

    Tightening torque: 20.6–26 N·m

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
