Troubleshooting

Hyundai Palisade. Troubleshooting
  • Be careful not to short the wiring to the body or other objects.
  • In case of discharge problems in general, measure the dark current first. (Charging System - "Dark Current Check").
  • When inspecting the generator main fuse, perform a continuity check, a voltage check between terminals, and a visual inspection to confirm normal operation.
  • When inspecting the ground, repair or replace the faulty ground cable, improper installation, or poor contact caused by a foreign object after inspection.
  • Using non-genuine parts for installation is not recommended. Non-genuine parts may cause a malfunction of the charging system.
  • Be careful, as incorrect assembly may cause a wiring short circuit, which may discharge the battery.
  • Because the clock will be reset and displayed as usual if the battery negative (-) terminal is disconnected during dark current measurement, measure with a clamp meter without disconnecting the negative (-) terminal.
  • Note that there may be various symptoms / possible causes / repair actions other than those listed above.
  • For more effective repair, refer to the DTC and ETM manual.
