On some models, the vehicle is equipped with a wireless cellular phone charger.

The system is available when all doors are closed and the ignition switch is ON.

To charge a cellular phone

The wireless cellular phone charging system only charges Qi-compatible cellular phones (Hyundai Palisade. Charging System). Read the label on the cellular phone accessory case or visit your cellular phone manufacturer's website to check whether your cellular phone supports Qi technology.

Wireless charging starts when you place a Qi-compatible cellular phone on the wireless charging pad.

1. Remove other items, including the Smart Key, from the wireless charging unit. Otherwise, the wireless charging process may be interrupted. Place the cellular phone in the center of the charging pad (Hyundai Palisade. Charging System ).

2. The indicator light is orange while the cellular phone is charging. The indicator light turns green when phone charging is complete.

3. You can turn the wireless charging function on or off in the User Settings mode on the instrument cluster. For more information, refer to "LCD Modes" in this chapter.

If your mobile phone does not charge:

- Slightly change the position of the cellular phone on the charging pad.
- Make sure the indicator light is orange.

The indicator light will flash orange for 10 seconds if there is a malfunction in the wireless charging system.

In this case, temporarily stop the charging process and try to charge your cellular phone again.

The system will warn you with a message on the LCD if the cellular phone is still on the wireless charging unit after the engine is turned off and the driver's door is opened.

Information

For some manufacturers' cellular phones, the system may not warn you even though the cellular phone is left on the wireless charger. This is due to a special characteristic of the cellular phone and not a malfunction of the wireless charging system.

NOTICE

  • The wireless cellular phone charging system may not support some cellular phones that are not verified for the Qi specification (Hyundai Palisade. Charging System ).
  • When placing the cellular phone on the charging pad, position the phone in the center of the pad for optimal charging performance. If your cellular phone is off to the side, the charging rate may be lower and, in some cases, the cellular phone may experience higher heat generation.
  • In some cases, wireless charging may be temporarily interrupted when the remote key or Smart Key is used, either when starting the vehicle or locking/unlocking the doors, etc.
  • When charging certain cellular phones, the charging indicator may not change to green when the cellular phone is fully charged.
  • The wireless charging process may be temporarily interrupted when the temperature inside the wireless cellular phone charging system rises abnormally. Stop charging the cellular phone and wait until the temperature drops to a certain level.
  • The wireless charging process may be temporarily interrupted if any metal object, such as a coin, is between the wireless cellular phone charging system and the cellular phone.
  • When charging some cellular phones with self-protection function, the wireless charging speed may decrease, and wireless charging may stop.
  • If the cellular phone has a thick cover, wireless charging may not be possible.
  • If the cellular phone does not make full contact with the charging pad, wireless charging may not work properly.
  • Magnetic items such as credit cards, phone cards, or train tickets may be damaged if left together with the cellular phone during the charging process.
  • When any cellular phone without wireless charging function or metallic object is placed on the charging pad, a slight noise may sound. This faint sound is caused by the vehicle's inductive compatibility with the object placed on the charging pad. It does not affect your vehicle or mobile phone in any way.

Information

If the ignition switch is in the OFF position, charging also stops.
