WARNING
Windshield Defroster
Do not use
or
Do not operate in cooling mode in extremely humid weather. The difference between the outside air temperature and the windshield surface temperature may cause the outside surface of the windshield to fog up, resulting in loss of visibility, which may lead to an accident resulting in serious injury or death. In this case, set the mode selection knob or button to the
position and the fan speed control knob or button to a lower speed.
- For maximum defrost performance, set the temperature control knob to the highest temperature setting (turned fully clockwise to the right) and set the fan speed control to the highest setting.
- If warm air to the floor is required during defrosting or defogging, set to the floor defrost position.
- Before driving, remove all snow and ice from the windshield, rear window, outside mirrors, and all side windows.
- Clear all snow and ice from the hood and the air intake grille under the hood to improve heater and defroster efficiency and reduce the possibility of fogging on the inside of the windshield.
NOTICE
If the engine coolant temperature is still cold after starting, a short warm-up period may be required before the vent air becomes warm or hot.
