DEPOSIT

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the upper tailgate trim. (Refer to Body - "Tailgate Trim")
  3. Remove the side tailgate trim. (Refer to Body - "Tailgate Trim")
  4. Disconnect the connector (A) and remove the anti-pinch strip (B) after removing the retaining clip.

REMEDY

  1. Install the power liftgate anti-pinch strip.
  2. Disconnect the power liftgate anti-pinch strip sensor connector.
  3. Install the side liftgate trim.
  4. Install the upper tailgate trim.
  5. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.
