Diagnosis with GDS- In the body electrical system, a fault can be quickly diagnosed using the Global Diagnostic System (GDS). The GDS provides the following information.
- Self-diagnosis: checks for malfunctions and the number of codes (DTC)
- Current data: checking the input/output status of the system
- Operation check: checks the operating conditions of the system
- Additional function: controls other functions, including additional system setup and zero point adjustment
- Select "Vehicle Model" and "Power Tailgate Module" to check the vehicle using the tester.
- Select the "Current Data" menu to check the current status of inputs and outputs.

- To control the input force of the module to be controlled, select the "Operation Check" option.
- The new power tailgate module is configured at the factory for the assembly line. After replacing with a new power tailgate module, it is necessary to switch to A/S mode. (DTC (B24B0) is output without changing this mode.)
- After connecting GDS, select the "Tailgate Mode Change" procedure.

- Perform the tailgate mode change procedure according to the messages displayed in GDS.
