DEPOSIT

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the rear door trim panel. (Refer to Body - "Rear Door Trim")
  3. Disconnect the power trunk lock connector (A) and the PCU connector (B).
  4. Remove the tailgate latch (A) after loosening the mounting bolts.
  5. Loosen the PCU (Power Child Lock/Power Cinch Unit) mounting nuts.
  6. Remove the tailgate power lock and PCU.

REMEDY

  1. Install the tailgate power lock and PCU.
  2. Connect the liftgate power lock connector and PCU connector.
  3. Install the rear door trim panel.
  4. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.
