Rear View Camera (if equipped)

~1min read

■ Type A

■ Type B

The rear view camera operates when the engine is running and the shift lever is in the R (Reverse) position.

This system displays the view behind the vehicle on the rearview mirror or the navigation screen when reversing.

■ Type A

To turn off the rear view camera, press the ON/OFF button.

Press the ON/OFF button again to turn the rear view camera back on when the engine is running and the reverse gear is engaged.

WARNING

The rear view camera is not a safety device. It only helps the driver identify obstacles located behind the center of the vehicle. The camera does NOT cover the entire area behind the vehicle.

WARNING

  • Never rely solely on the camera when reversing.
  • ALWAYS inspect the area around your vehicle for obstacles or objects before maneuvering to avoid a collision.
  • Use extreme caution when maneuvering near obstacles, especially pedestrians and particularly children.

Information

Always keep the camera lens clean. The camera may not operate properly if the lens is dirty.
