Rear Parking Assist System Operation

Operating Conditions

• This system is activated when reversing with the ignition switch in the ON position. However, it may not detect objects if the vehicle is traveling at a speed greater than 5 km/h.
• If the vehicle speed is greater than 10 km/h, the system will not issue a warning even if it detects obstacles.
• When the system detects more than two obstacles at the same time, it identifies the nearest one first.

Types of Audible Signals and Indicators

NOTICE

• The indicator on your vehicle may differ from the one shown in the illustration. If the warning light flashes, we recommend having your vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
• If you do not hear the warning sound, or if the warning sounds intermittently when the reverse gear is engaged, this may indicate a malfunction of the parking assist system. In this case, we recommend having your vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer as soon as possible.
