Hood Opening

Left-Hand Drive

Right-Hand Drive

1. Park the vehicle and apply the parking brake.

2. Pull the hood release lever to unlatch the hood. The hood will pop up slightly.

3. Move to the front of the vehicle, lift the hood slightly, pull the safety latch (1) in the center of the hood, then fully open the hood (2).

4. Lift the hood support rod.

5. Place the hood support rod (1) in its holder so the hood remains open.

WARNING

• Place the prop rod in the rubber area to avoid burns from hot metal when the engine temperature is high.
• The support rod must be fully inserted into the hole provided on the hood panel each time you inspect the engine compartment.

This prevents the hood from falling and causing injury.
