2. Set the mode to .

3. Adjust the air intake control to activate the outside (fresh) air or recirculated air intake.

4. Adjust the fan speed and temperature.

Information

Your vehicle is equipped with R-134a or R-1234yf in accordance with the regulations of your country at the time of manufacture. You can find out which air conditioning refrigerant is used in your vehicle from the label located inside the hood. See chapter 8 for the location of the air conditioning refrigerant label.

Noted

  • The cooling system must be serviced only by certified technicians and approved to ensure correct and safe operation.
  • Refrigerant system service must be performed in a well-ventilated area.
  • The evaporator (cooling coil) must never be repaired or reused from a damaged vehicle. All new replacement A/C evaporators must be certified as compliant with SAE J2842 and must have a certification label.

Information

  • When using the air conditioning system, regularly check the temperature gauge during steep climbs, heavy traffic, or when the outside temperature is high. The air conditioning system may cause the engine to overheat. Continue to use the blower, but turn off the air conditioner if the temperature gauge indicates overheating.
  • Opening the windows while using the air conditioner in wet weather may cause water droplets to form inside the vehicle. Excessive humidity can damage electrical components. Always use the air conditioner with the windows closed.
  • If the vehicle has been parked in the sun in hot weather, open the windows for a few seconds to allow hot air to escape from the vehicle. • Use the air conditioner to reduce humidity in the vehicle on rainy days or when humidity is high.
  • When the air conditioning system is operating, you may occasionally notice a slight change in engine speed when the compressor cycles on and off. This behavior is completely normal.
  • Run the air conditioning system for at least several minutes each month to keep it in good operating condition.
  • When using the air conditioning system, you may notice a more or less significant flow of water from under the vehicle, on the passenger side. This behavior is completely normal.
  • Using the recirculation mode provides maximum cooling. However, the air inside the vehicle may become stale if this mode is kept on continuously.
  • When the air conditioner is on, you may sometimes notice a misty airflow caused by rapid cooling of humid air. This behavior is completely normal.
