Description and Operation
Description
The ignition coil is an induction coil in the engine ignition system that converts the low battery voltage into the high voltage required to create an electric spark at the spark plugs to ignite the fuel. Coils have internal resistance and rest on a resistor wire or external resistor to limit the current flowing into the coil from the 12 V battery.Specifications
