This gauge shows the approximate amount of fuel remaining in the fuel tank.

Information

  • Refer to chapter 8 for the fuel tank capacity.
  • The fuel gauge is equipped with a fuel level warning light that illuminates when the fuel tank is nearly empty.
  • On slopes or when cornering, the fuel gauge needle may fluctuate, and the low fuel warning light may come on earlier than expected due to fuel movement in the tank.

WARNING

Fuel Level Gauge

Running out of fuel endangers the vehicle occupants. Stop immediately and find fuel as soon as the warning light comes on or the gauge approaches 0 or the E (Empty) mark.

NOTICE

Avoid driving with very low fuel. A nearly empty fuel tank may cause engine misfires and damage the catalytic converter.
