Deadlocks (if equipped)

Some vehicles are equipped with deadlocks. The deadlock prevents the doors from being opened from the inside or outside of the vehicle after the locks have been activated, providing an additional level of vehicle security.

To lock the vehicle with the Deadlock function, you must lock the doors using the transmitter or smart key. To unlock the vehicle, use the transmitter or smart key again.

WARNING

Do not lock the doors with the transmitter or smart key if there is a passenger in the vehicle. A passenger inside the vehicle cannot unlock the doors using the door lock button. For example, if the door has been locked with the transmitter, a passenger remaining inside cannot unlock the door without the transmitter.
