Stowing the Flat Tire

~1min read

A full-size flat tire should be stored and secured in the vehicle until you reach a service station.

Information

Do not store the flat tire on the spare tire carrier under your vehicle.

1. Remove the strap stored in the storage box under the right rear seat. Connect the two straps with buckles, if necessary, before using the strap to secure the flat tire.

2. Place the flat tire on the floor of the cargo area.

3. Pass one end of the strap through the center of the wheel and connect both strap hooks to each D-ring (A-A' or B-B').

4. Pull the strap (1) to tighten the strap firmly.

5. Try to move the flat tire to make sure it is properly secured.

PLEDGE

Never leave the flat tire unsecured in the vehicle. An unsecured flat tire may cause damage to the vehicle or injury when the vehicle makes sharp turns, stops suddenly, or is involved in a collision.
