Glow Plug Indicator (diesel engine)

This warning light illuminates in the following cases:

• If the engine is preheated and the ignition switch or ENGINE START/STOP button is in the ON position.

- The engine can be started as soon as the glow plug indicator turns off.
- The duration of this indicator may vary depending on the coolant temperature, air temperature and battery condition.

If this indicator remains on or flashes after preheating or after the engine is started, there may be a malfunction in the engine preheating system.

In this case, we recommend that you have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

Information - Engine Preheating

If the engine does not start within 10 seconds after preheating, turn the ignition switch or ENGINE START/STOP button to the LOCK or OFF position for 10 seconds, then turn it to ON to preheat the engine again.
