Using the cruise control

■ Type A

■ Type B
1. CRUISE indicator
2. Set indicator
Cruise control allows you to drive at speeds above 30 km/h (20 mph) without pressing the accelerator pedal.
WARNING
Observe the following precautions:
- If cruise control remains active (CRUISE indicator on the instrument cluster is on), it may be activated unintentionally. Keep cruise control off (CRUISE indicator off) when it is not in use to prevent accidental speed setting.
- Use cruise control only on main roads and in good weather.
- Do not use cruise control when it may be unsafe to maintain a constant vehicle speed:
- In changing traffic conditions or heavy traffic
- On slippery roads (rain, ice or snow)
- On winding or mountain roads
- In very windy areas
NOTICE
When cruise control is active, if your vehicle has a manual transmission, do not shift to neutral without disengaging the clutch. The engine would overspeed. In this case, depress the clutch or press the ON/OFF button on the cruise control switch.
Information
- In normal mode, when the SET button is activated or reactivated after applying the brakes, cruise control will engage after approximately 3 seconds. This delay is normal.
- To activate cruise control, press the brake pedal at least once after turning the ignition on or starting the engine. This allows checking that the brake switch operates correctly, which is required for cruise control to disengage under normal conditions.
