WARNING

To reduce the risk of accidental airbag deployment and serious injury or death:

  • Do not strike or allow any objects to contact the areas where the airbag sensors are installed.
  • Do not perform maintenance on or around the airbag sensors. If the location or mounting angle of the sensors is changed, the airbags may deploy when they should not, or may fail to deploy when they should.
  • Installing bumper guards that are not genuine Hyundai or equivalent parts may adversely affect collision and airbag deployment performance.
  • When towing the vehicle, turn the ENGINE START/STOP button to the OFF or ACC position and wait 3 minutes to prevent accidental airbag deployment.
  • All airbag repairs must be performed by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
