Ventilated Seat

~2min read

Ventilated seats are designed to cool the front seats by blowing air through small ventilation holes on the surfaces of the seat cushions and seatbacks.

When ventilated seat operation is not required, keep the switches in the OFF position.

With the engine running, press the switch to cool the driver's seat or front passenger seat (if equipped).

NOTICE

To avoid damaging the ventilated seats:

  • Never use solvents such as paint thinner, benzene, alcohol, or gasoline to clean the seats.
  • Avoid getting liquids on the surface of the front seats and seatbacks; this may cause the ventilation holes to become blocked and not operate properly.
  • Do not place materials such as plastic bags or newspapers under the seats. They may block the air intake, causing the ventilation holes to malfunction.
  • Do not modify the seat covers. This may damage the ventilated seat.
  • If the ventilation holes do not operate, restart the vehicle. If they still do not operate, have the vehicle checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
  • Each time the switch is pressed, the airflow changes as follows:
  • If the switch is pressed and held for more than 1.5 seconds while ventilation is on, the seat operation will turn off.
  • Ventilated seats are in the OFF position by default each time the ignition switch is in the ON position.
  • Auto Comfort Control (for driver's seat) (if equipped)
    - The ventilated seats automatically control the seat temperature according to the outside temperature and the set temperature of the climate control while the engine is running. If the ventilated seat switch is pressed, the seat ventilation must be controlled manually. To use this function, it must be activated from the Settings menu on the AV/AVN system screen.
    - Ventilated seats are in the OFF position by default each time the ignition switch is turned on. However, if Auto Comfort Control is activated, the seat ventilation will turn on and off depending on the outside temperature and the set temperature of the climate control.
