Seat Warmers

~2min read

Seat warmers are provided to warm the seats in cold weather.

In mild weather, or when the seat warmers are not needed, turn off the seat warmers.

WARNING

Seat heaters can cause SERIOUS BURNS even at low temperatures, especially with prolonged use.

Passengers should be able to feel whether the seat is becoming too warm so that they can turn it off if necessary.

Persons who cannot detect changes in temperature or pain in the skin should use special caution, especially the following occupants:

  • Infants, children, elderly persons, disabled persons, or outpatients.
  • Persons with sensitive skin or those who sunburn easily.
  • Fatigued persons.
  • Persons under the influence of alcohol.
  • Persons taking medications that may cause drowsiness.

WARNING

NEVER place anything that insulates against heat, such as a blanket or seat cushion, on the seat while the seat warmer is on. This may cause the seat to overheat, which may result in burns or damage to the seat.

NOTICE

To avoid damage to the seat warmers and seats:

  • Never use solvents such as paint thinner, benzene, alcohol, or gasoline to clean the seats.
  • Do not place heavy or sharp objects on seats equipped with seat warmers.
  • Do not replace the seat covering. This may damage the seat warmer.

With the engine running, press either switch to warm the driver's seat or front passenger's seat.

In mild weather, or when seat warmers are not needed, keep the switches in the OFF position.

  • Manual Temperature Control

Each time you press the switch, the seat temperature setting changes as follows:

- Front seat

- Rear seat

  • Automatic Temperature Control

The seat heater automatically starts to control the seat temperature to prevent low-temperature burns after manual operation.

- Front seat

- Rear seat

If HIGH is selected manually again, the temperature will be controlled automatically.

  • If the switch is pressed for more than 1.5 seconds, the seat warmer turns off.
  • The seat heater is in the OFF position by default each time the ignition switch is turned on. The switch is on.
  • Auto Comfort Control (for driver's seat) (if equipped)
    - The seat heater automatically controls the seat temperature according to the outside temperature and the set temperature of the climate control while the engine is running. If the seat heater switch is pressed, the seat heater will be controlled manually. To use this function, it must be activated from the Settings menu on the AV/AVN system screen.
    - The seat heater is in the OFF position by default each time the ignition switch is turned on. However, if Auto Comfort Control is activated, the driver's seat heater will turn on and off depending on the outside temperature and the set temperature of the climate control.

For more information, refer to the separate infotainment system manual provided with your vehicle.

Information

When the seat warmer switch is in the ON position, the seat warmer system automatically turns on or off depending on the seat temperature.
