~1min read

NOTE

• If you lose your smart key for any reason, you will not be able to start the engine.

If necessary, tow the vehicle and contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
• No more than 2 smart keys can be registered to one vehicle. If you lose a smart key, take the vehicle to an authorized HYUNDAI dealer immediately and surrender the key to protect the vehicle from possible theft.
• The smart key will not work in any of the following cases:

- The smart key is near a radio signal source (such as a radio station or airport) that may interfere with normal operation of the smart key.
- You are holding the smart key near a portable radio or cellular phone.
- A smart key for another vehicle is operating near your vehicle.

If the smart key does not operate properly, lock and unlock the doors using the mechanical key. If problems occur with the smart key, contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

• If the smart key is held in close proximity to your cellular phone or smartphone, the signal from the smart key may be blocked by normal operation of the cellular phone or smartphone, especially during outgoing or incoming calls, or when sending/receiving text messages and/or e-mail. Avoid placing the smart key and your cellular phone or smartphone in the same clothing pocket, and keep a sufficient distance between the two devices.
