Replacing the battery

~1min read

The remote transmitter uses a 3 V lithium battery, which under normal conditions lasts several years. If the battery needs to be replaced, proceed as follows.

1. Insert a thin-bladed tool into the slot and carefully pry off the center cover of the remote transmitter.
2. Replace the battery with a new one (Cr2032). Install the battery with the "+" side facing up.
3. Install the battery in the reverse order of removal.

To replace the remote transmitter, contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer, who will reprogram it.
