Basic Operation

Audio CD / MP3 CD / USB / iPod® / My Music

pressPress the MODE key to change the mode in the following order: CD ➟ USB (iPod®) ➟ AUX ➟ My Music ➟ BT Audio.

The folder/file name is displayed on the screen.

❈ The CD plays automatically when a CD is inserted.

❈ USB music plays automatically when a USB device is connected.

Repeat

During Song (File) Playback (RPT) Key

Audio CD, MP3 CD, USB, iPod®, My Music mode: RPT is displayed on the screen.

• Repeat One Song (press the key): Repeats the current song. MP3 CD, USB mode: F.RPT is displayed on the screen.
• Repeat Folder (press the key twice): Repeats all files in the current folder.

❈ Press thePress again to cancel repeat.

Random

During Song (File) Playback (RDM) Key. Audio CD, My Music mode: RDM is displayed on the screen.

Random (press the key): Plays all songs in random order.

MP3 CD, USB mode: F.RDM is displayed on the screen.

• Folder Random (press the key): Plays all files in the current folder in random order. iPod® mode: ALB RDM is displayed on the screen.
• Album Random (press the key): Plays all files in the albums of the current category in random order. MP3 CD, USB, iPod mode: ALL RDM is displayed on the screen.
• All Random (press the key twice): Plays all files in random order.

❈ Press thePress again to cancel repeat.

Changing the Song/File

During Song (File) Playback key

Short press of the key: Plays the current song from the beginning.

❈ Ifthe key is pressed again within 3 seconds, the previous song plays.

• Press and hold the key (more than 0.8 seconds): Rewinds the song. While the song (file) is playing. key
• Short press of the key: Plays the next song.
• Press and hold the key (more than 0.8 seconds): Fast-forwards the song.

Scan

During Song (File) Playback key

Short press of the key: Scans all songs from the next song for 10 seconds each.

❈ Press thePress the key again to cancel.

❈ The SCAN function is not supported in iPod® mode.

Folder Search: MP3 CD, USB mode

During File Playback / (Folder Up) Key

Searches for the next folder.

During File Playback / (Folder Down) Key

Searches the parent folder.

❈ If a folder is selected by pressing theTUNE knob, the first file in the selected folder will play.

❈ In iPod® mode, moves to the parent folder.

Song (File) Search

• RotationTUNE Knob: Song (File) Search
• PressTUNE Knob: Plays the selected song (file).

MENU: Audio CD

Press the CD MP3 modekey to set repeat, random, and information functions.

Repeat

presskeyPress the [RPT] key to repeat the current song.the TUNE knob orbutton to repeat the current song.

❈ Press the RPT key again to cancel.

Random

presskeyPress the [RDM] keythe TUNE knob orPress the key to play songs in the current folder in random order.

Information

MENU: CD MP3 / USB

Press the CD MP3 modePress the key to set repeat, folder random, folder repeat, all random, information, and copy functions.

Repeat

Folder Random

All Random

presskeyPress the [A.RDM] key in thethe TUNE knob orPress the key to play all songs on the CD in random order.

❈ Press the A.RDM key again to cancel.

Information

presskeyPress the [Info] throughthe TUNE knob orDisplays information for the current song.

❈ Press thePress the key to turn off the information display.

Copy

presskeyPress the [Copy] keythe TUNE knob orkey.

Used to copy the current song to My Music. You can play copied music in My Music mode.

❈ If another key is pressed during copying, a pop-up appears asking whether to cancel the copy.

❈ If another media source (USB, CD, iPod®, AUX) is connected or inserted during copying, the copy is canceled.

❈ Music will not play during copying.

MENU: iPod®

In iPod® mode, press the key to set the Repeat, Album Random, All Random, Info, and Search functions.

Repeat

presskeyPress the [RPT] Throughthe TUNE knob orbutton to repeat the current song.

❈ Press RPT again to cancel repeat.

Album Random

presskeyPress the [Alb.RDM] Throughthe TUNE knob orkey.

Plays all albums in the current playback category in random order.

❈ Press Alb.RDM again to turn off.

All Random

presskeyPress the [A.RDM] Throughthe TUNE knob orkey.

Plays all songs in the current playback category in random order.

❈ Press the A.RDM key again to cancel.

Information

presskeyPress the [Info] throughthe TUNE knob orkey.

Displays information about the current song.

❈ Press thePress the key to turn off the information display.

Search

presskeyPress the [Search] Throughthe TUNE knob orkey.

Displays the iPod® category list.

❈ Search by iPod® categorykey is pressed, moves to the parent category.
