Pedal Travel

Check whether the travel is within specification when the parking brake pedal is depressed with a force of 44 lbf (20 kgf, 196 N). Also, the parking brake alone should securely hold the vehicle on a fairly steep grade. If the travel is more or less than specified, have the parking brake adjusted by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

Stroke: 4 clicks at 44 lbf (20 kgf, 196 N)

Lever Type

Check the parking brake travel by counting the number of audible "clicks" while fully applying it from the released position. Also, the parking brake alone must hold the vehicle securely on a sufficiently steep slope. If the travel is more or less than specified, adjust the parking brake at an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
