The estimated distance to empty is the distance the vehicle can travel on the remaining fuel.

If the estimated distance is less than 1 mile (1 km), the trip computer shows "---" as the distance to empty. When this occurs, refuel the vehicle immediately.

Information

  • The distance to empty may differ from the actual driving distance because it is only an estimate of the available driving range.
  • The distance to empty may vary considerably depending on driving conditions, driving habits, and vehicle condition.
  • If the vehicle is not on a level surface or the battery power has been interrupted, the distance to empty function may not operate correctly.
  • The distance to empty indicator may not change accurately if less than 1.5 gallons (6 liters) of fuel is added to the vehicle.
