This gauge shows the approximate amount of fuel remaining in the fuel tank.

Information

  • The fuel tank capacity is specified in Chapter 10.
  • The fuel gauge is supplemented by a low fuel warning light, which illuminates when the fuel tank is nearly empty.
  • On uphill grades or curves, the fuel gauge pointer may fluctuate, or the low fuel warning light may illuminate earlier than usual due to fuel movement in the tank.

WARNING

Always refuel the vehicle as soon as possible after the warning light illuminates or when the gauge pointer approaches the E (Empty) position.

NOTICE

Avoid driving with a very low fuel level. Running out of fuel may cause the engine to misfire, damaging the catalytic converter.
