Front Wipers

~1min read

Operates as follows when the ignition switch is ON.

MIST :

For a single wipe, pull the lever up and release it. The wipers will operate continuously if the lever is moved up and held in that position.

OFF :

Wiper does not operate

INT :

The wipers operate intermittently at fixed intervals. To change the speed setting, turn the speed control knob.

AUTO :

The rain sensor, located at the upper part of the windshield, detects the amount of rain and controls the wiping cycle at appropriate intervals. The heavier the rain, the faster the wipers operate. When the rain stops, the wipers stop. To change the speed, turn the speed control knob (B).

LO :

The wipers operate at low speed.

HI :

The wipers operate at high speed.

CAUTION

  • If heavy snow or ice has accumulated on the windshield, defrost the windshield for approximately 10 minutes or until the snow and/or ice is removed before using the wipers, to ensure they operate properly.
  • When you turn on the wipers, if there is a problem in any part of the wiper control system, the wipers may operate in LO speed regardless of the wiper switch position. In this case, have your vehicle checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer as soon as possible.
  • When the engine is off, the wiper blade may occasionally move slightly to reduce wear on the windshield wipers.
