Manual Speed Limiter Assist System Operation

To Set the Speed Limit

1. Press and hold the Driving Assist button () at the desired speed. Manual Speed Limit Assist () indicator illuminates on the instrument cluster.

2. Press the + switch up or the - switch down to change the set speed.

Press and hold to increase or decrease to the nearest multiple of five (multiple of ten in km/h), then increase or decrease by 5 mph (10 km/h).

3. Check the set speed limit on the instrument cluster.

If you want to pass through the speed limit, press the accelerator pedal far enough to engage the kickdown mechanism.

The set speed limit flashes and a chime sounds until your vehicle speed decreases below the set speed limit.

Information

• When the accelerator pedal is not depressed beyond the pressure point, your vehicle speed is maintained within the speed limit.
• A clicking sound may be heard from the kickdown mechanism.

To temporarily cancel Manual Speed Limit Assist

pressbutton to temporarily cancel the set speed limit. The set speed is turned off, but the Manual Speed Limit Assist () indicator remains illuminated.

To resume the Manual Speed Limiter Assist System

Press the +/- switch orbutton.

If you press the + switch up or the - switch down, the set speed is set to the current vehicle speed.

If you press thebutton, the set speed returns to the previously set speed limit.

To turn off the Manual Speed Limiter Assist System

Press the Driving Assist button () button to turn off the Manual Speed Limiter. The Manual Speed Limiter system () indicator turns off.

Always press the Driving Assist button () button to cancel the Manual Speed Limiter. Helpful when not in use.

WARNING

To avoid serious injury or death:

• Set your vehicle speed to the speed limit on the road and use the appropriate unit (mph or km/h) for your country.
• Keep the Manual Speed Limiter turned off when not in use to avoid accidentally setting the speed. Make sure that the Manual Speed Limiter ( ) indicator light is off.
• Always drive defensively and pay attention to the driving task.
