Normal Maintenance Schedule
The following maintenance must be performed to ensure good emissions control and performance. Keep receipts for all vehicle emissions services to protect your warranty. Where mileage and time are listed, the maintenance interval is determined by whichever occurs first.
*1 : If TOP TIER detergent gasoline is not available, one bottle of additive is recommended. Additives can be purchased from an authorized HYUNDAI dealer along with information on how to use them. Do not mix other additives.
*2 : The fuel filter and fuel tank air filter are considered maintenance-free; however, periodic inspection is recommended. The replacement interval for this maintenance schedule depends on fuel quality. If there are any important safety concerns, such as restricted fuel flow, pulsation, loss of power, starting problems, etc., immediately replace the fuel filter regardless of the maintenance schedule and consult an authorized HYUNDAI dealer for details.
*3 : The transfer case oil and rear axle oil should be replaced each time they have been submerged in water.
*4 : Check for excessive valve noise and/or engine vibration and adjust if necessary. Have an authorized HYUNDAI dealer perform this operation.
*5 : The drive belt should be replaced if cracks appear or tension is reduced.
❈ Inspect: Inspect and, if necessary, adjust, repair, clean, or replace.
