People sometimes lose wireless devices, so security measures have been built into the Uconnect App. By requiring your user name, password and security PIN, SiriusXM Guardian™ ensures that no one can start your vehicle if they find your device.

Can someone drive away in my vehicle using the app? No. Continuing to operate your vehicle requires that the keys be in the vehicle. The remote start feature only starts the engine to warm up or cool down the cabin before you arrive.

Can I stop a vehicle that is moving with the remote start cancel command? No. If the vehicle is in motion, pressing the Remote Start cancel button does not stop the vehicle.
