Automatic Anti-Fog System (for automatic climate control only)

The automatic anti-fog system reduces the possibility of fogging on the inside of the windshield by automatically detecting the humidity inside the windshield.

The automatic defogging system operates when the climate control system is turned on.

✽ NOTICE

The automatic defogging system may not operate normally if the outside air temperature is below -15°C.

This indicator illuminates when the automatic defogging system detects moisture inside the windshield and is operating.

If there is more moisture in the vehicle, the higher steps operate as follows.

Step 1: Operate the A/C
Step 2: Direct the airflow to the windshield.
Step 3: Outside air position
Step 4: Increase the airflow to the windshield

If your vehicle is equipped with the automatic defogging system, it activates automatically when the conditions are met. To cancel or reset the automatic defogging system, press and hold the windshield defroster button for 3 seconds with the ignition switch in the ON position. When the automatic defogging system is turned off, the ADS OFF symbol flashes 3 times and ADS OFF appears on the climate control information screen.

When the automatic anti-fog system is reset, the ADS OFF symbol will flash 6 times without a signal.

For an automatic climate control system with a climate button, the defroster button indicator blinks. The blinking time is the same as described above.

To use the automatic defogging system again, perform the procedures described above.

If the battery has been disconnected or discharged, the system resets to the default automatic defogging system status.

✽ NOTICE

If the A/C is manually turned off while the automatic defogging system is on, the automatic defogging indicator flashes 3 times to indicate that the A/C cannot be selected.

CAUTION

Do not remove the sensor cover located at the top of the windshield on the driver's side. Damage to system components may occur and may not be covered under your vehicle warranty.
