Closing the Moonroof

~1min read

To close the sunroof with the sunshade

Push the roof control lever forward. The roof glass will close, then the sunshade will close automatically. To stop roof movement at any time, briefly pull or push the roof control lever.

Automatic Reverse

If an object or a part of the body is detected when the roof glass or sunshade closes automatically, it will reverse direction and then stop.

The auto-reverse function does not operate if an object is caught between the sliding glass or sunshade and the roof frame. Always check that all passengers and objects are clear of the roof before closing it.

WARNING! Roof Sunroof

  • Be careful that no one's head, hands, or body are caught by the closing roof.
  • Do not extend your face, neck, arms, or body outside the open roof while the vehicle is in motion.
  • Before closing, make sure your hands and face are in a safe position away from the roof.
  • The panoramic roof is made of glass and may shatter in an accident. If you are not wearing a seat belt, you may be thrown out through the broken glass and be injured or killed. For the safety of all passengers, use appropriate restraints (e.g., seat belt, child restraint system, etc.).

CAUTION

  • Periodically remove dirt that may accumulate on the guide rail.
  • If you attempt to open the roof at sub-zero temperatures or when the roof is covered with snow or ice, the glass or motor may be damaged.
  • If you drive with the roof open immediately after car washing or rain, water may enter the vehicle.
