Glow Plug Indicator Light (Diesel Engine)

This indicator light comes on:

• When the engine is preheating with the ignition switch or engine start/stop button in the ON position.

- The engine can be started after the glow plug indicator light goes off.

- The duration of illumination depends on the engine coolant temperature, the air temperature, and the condition of the battery.

If the indicator continues to illuminate or flashes after the engine has warmed up, or while driving, there may be a malfunction in the engine preheating system.

In this case, we recommend having the vehicle inspected at an authorized service center. Kia Dealer.

✽ NOTICE - Engine Preheating

If the engine does not start within 10 seconds after preheating is complete, turn the ignition switch or the engine START/STOP button to the LOCK or OFF position for 10 seconds, then to the ON position to preheat the engine again.
