Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the lower crash pad panel. (Refer to Group BD - "Crash Pad")
  3. Remove the side hazard switch assembly (A), as shown in the illustration below.
    Wear gloves to protect your hands from injury.
  4. Remove the lower hazard switch assembly (B) after disconnecting the connector (A).

Installation

  1. Install the blind spot detection switch after connecting the connector.
  2. Install the emergency pad lower panel.

Inspection

  1. Disconnect the BSD switch connector from the lower hazard switch assembly.
  2. Turn on the BSD switch, then check the circuit continuity between the terminals of the BSD switch connector.
