Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.
  2. Remove the headliner. (Refer to Body group - "Interior")
  3. Disconnect the curtain airbag harness connector (A).
  4. After loosening the mounting bolts and nuts, remove the curtain airbag.

Installation

  1. Remove the ignition key from the vehicle.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least three minutes.
  3. Tighten the curtain airbag mounting bolts and nuts. Tightening torque: Bolts: 7.8 ~ 11.8 N·m Nuts: 3.9 ~ 5.9 N·m
    • Never twist the airbag module during installation. If the airbag module is twisted, it may not function properly.
  4. Connect the curtain airbag connector.
  5. Install the headliner. (Refer to Body group - "Interior")
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
  7. After installing the curtain airbag (CAB), check that the system operates correctly:
    • Turn the ignition ON; the SRS indicator should illuminate for approximately six seconds, then turn off.
