Removal

  1. Relieve the residual fuel pressure in the fuel line (Refer to "Relieve Residual Fuel Pressure in the Fuel Line").
  2. Raise the vehicle.
  3. Remove the front side cover (A) and the rear side cover (B).
  4. Disconnect the fuel feed hose (A), the leveling hose (B), and the quick connector of the vapor hose (C).
  5. Remove the rear muffler (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Muffler").
  6. Disconnect the fuel pump and fuel tank pressure sensor extension connector (A).
  7. Support the fuel tank with a jack, then remove the fuel tank band (A).
  8. Disconnect the quick-connect coupling of the fuel feed tube (A).
  9. Remove the fuel tank.

Installation

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal. Fuel tank band nut: 39.2 ~ 54 N·m
