  1. Turn the ignition OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly. G 2.4 GDI (See Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner") G 3.3 GDI (See Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner")
  3. Remove the master cylinder. (See Brake System - "Master Cylinder")
  4. Disconnect the vacuum hose (A) from the brake booster.
  5. Remove the lock pin (A) and the flat head pin (B).
  6. Remove the mounting nuts (A).

    Tightening torque: 16.7 ~ 26 N·m

  7. Remove the brake booster (A).
