  1. Inspect the bushing for wear.
  2. Inspect the brake pedal for bending or twisting.
  3. Inspect the brake pedal return spring for damage.
  4. Inspect the stop lamp switch.
    1. Connect a circuit tester to the stop lamp switch connector, and check for continuity when the stop lamp switch plunger is depressed and when it is released.
    2. The stop lamp switch is good if there is no continuity when the plunger (A) is depressed.
