Low Tire Pressure Warning Light

When the tire pressure monitoring system warning light illuminates, the pressure in one or more tires is significantly below the specified value.
If the warning light illuminates, reduce speed immediately, avoid sharp turns and braking maneuvers, and anticipate increased braking distance. You should stop and check your tires as soon as possible.
Inflate the tires to the proper pressure indicated on the vehicle certification label or tire inflation pressure label located on the inside of the driver's side center pillar. If you cannot reach a service station or if the tire does not hold the newly added air, replace the low-pressure tire with the spare tire.
The TPMS malfunction indicator and low tire pressure warning light may change and illuminate after restarting and after approximately 20 minutes of continuous driving until you repair or replace the low tire on the vehicle.
In winter or in cold weather, the low tire pressure warning light may illuminate if the tire pressure was adjusted to the recommended tire pressure in warm weather. This does not mean that your TPMS is malfunctioning, as a decrease in temperature causes a proportional decrease in tire pressure.
When you drive the vehicle from a warm region to a cold region, or from a cold region to a warm region, or when the outside air temperature changes significantly, you should check the tire pressure and adjust the tires to the recommended tire pressure.
When inflating tires with a large amount of air, the conditions for the low tire pressure warning light to turn off may not be met. This is because the tire inflation pump has an error in performance. The low tire pressure warning light will turn off if the tire pressure exceeds the recommended tire pressure.
WARNING! Damage due to low pressure
Do not drive on underinflated tires. Significantly low tire pressure can cause the tires to overheat and fail, making the vehicle unstable, which leads to increased braking distance and loss of vehicle control.
TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) Malfunction Indicator

The low tire pressure warning light will illuminate after flashing for approximately one minute when there is a problem with the TPMS. If the system is able to correctly detect a low tire pressure condition and a system malfunction at the same time, both the TPMS malfunction indicator and the low tire pressure warning light will illuminate. For example, if the front left sensor is not functioning, the TPMS malfunction indicator will illuminate, but if the front right, rear left, or rear right tire is under-inflated, the low tire pressure warning light may illuminate simultaneously with the TPMS malfunction indicator.
Have the system checked by an authorized Kia dealer as soon as possible to determine the cause of the problem.
- The TPMS malfunction indicator may illuminate when driving near power cables or radio transmitters, such as police stations, government and public facilities, broadcasting stations, military installations, airports, or transmission towers, etc. This may interfere with the normal operation of the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
- The TPMS malfunction indicator may illuminate when using snow chains or some aftermarket electronic devices, such as a laptop, mobile phone charger, remote starter, or navigation system, etc. in the vehicle. This may interfere with the normal operation of the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
