~2min read

To open the sunroof, pull the sunroof switch rearward.

To close the sunroof, push the sunroof switch forward.

Automatic opening of the sunroof:

Pull the sunroof switch back to the second detent and then release it. The sunroof slides back to the preset open position (it moves rearward to approximately 5 cm before the maximum open position).

To stop the sunroof movement at any time, briefly press the sunroof switch.

Automatic closing of the sunroof:

Push the sunroof switch forward to the second detent and then release it. The sunroof closes completely. To stop the sunroof movement at any time, briefly press the sunroof switch.

WARNING

To reduce wind noise, do not fully open the sunroof while driving (stop the sunroof at approximately 5 cm (2 in) in the tilt position).

WARNING

Make sure that heads, other body parts, or objects cannot become trapped in the sunroof opening, to prevent injury or damage to the vehicle. If an object with a diameter of up to 4 mm becomes trapped between the sunroof glass and the front window seal, the automatic reversing function may not detect the object and may not stop or reverse.

Anti-Pinch Protection (Automatic Reverse)

Wenn beim Automatic Schließen des Schiebedachs ein Gegenstand oder Körperteil erkannt wird, fährt das Schiebedach oder Sonnenschutz zurück und bleibt danach stehen.

The automatic anti-pinch protection does not function if a small object becomes trapped between the glass roof or sunshade and the sunroof frame. Always check before closing the sunroof or sunshade that no passengers or objects are in the danger zone of the sunroof or sunshade.

WARNING

  • Never intentionally place body parts in the gap to activate the anti-pinch protection.
  • The anti-pinch protection may not function properly if an object becomes trapped, especially before the sunroof has fully closed.
