WARNING
- If you lose your Smart Key, you can no longer start the engine. If the vehicle must be towed, contact a qualified workshop. Kia recommends that you contact a Kia dealer/service partner.
- A maximum of two Smart Keys can be registered per vehicle. If a Smart Key is lost, contact a Kia dealer/service partner.
- The Smart Key function may not work under the following conditions:
- The Smart Key is near a radio transmitter, such as a radio station or airport, that may interfere with normal operation of the Smart Key.
- The Smart Key is near a mobile two-way radio or other mobile phones.
- The Smart Key of another vehicle is operated near your vehicle. If the Smart Key does not function properly, open and close the door with the mechanical key. If you have a problem with your Smart Key, contact a Kia dealer/service partner. - If the Smart Key is placed very close to your mobile phone or smartphone, the signal from the Smart Key may be suppressed by the normal operation of the smartphone or mobile phone. This especially applies when the phone is active, e.g. when you make or receive calls, send text messages or e-mails. Do not keep the Smart Key in the same pocket as your mobile phone or smartphone, and keep a sufficient distance between the two devices.
WARNING
Do not allow water or other liquids to get on the Smart Key. If the central locking system fails because it was exposed to water or other liquids, this is not covered by the vehicle manufacturer's warranty.
